Bright back to TF2? LAN #5? (22-09-2011)

It was a while since I made an official post again on our Bright site. As most already noticed small updates will be given on our FACEBOOK public group. If you checked it regulary you already know the most of this stuff here.

Why back to TF2?
Well I didn't make the choice all by myself. As some of us still know we had a very active TF2 part in Bright with 2 war squads and allot of public members that where in total more then 30 Bright players from all over Europe. But some foolish squad leader wanted to do a take over and stole allot of members. Then I decided I would be focussing on CS1.6 again and the funny part is that the squad leader failed big time cause after less then a month his new clan was dead and everyone begged to join Bright again.. but yeah that wasn´t going to happen cause we want loyal players and no clan hoppers in Bright.

So TF2 was getting a free game and allot of Bright members were actually playing it. Also I got the hang of the game again alltough sometimes some weapons are to much overpowered its a great game and with the updates that they are still running its getting in a good balance again. So after allot of talks with Biowolf and Bucky we decided to give it a try again with TF2. So far it looks like a real good idea cause since last week we got two new 24 slot publics and on our 24/7 Dustbowl server every evening there are people playing on. So I think this will give Bright a major boost to attract new clan members again.

We did on purpose not to much plugins on the servers. We have only sourcemod admin plugin and a restriction plugin so there wont be in one team 7 engineers for example. The restrictions are atm only for engineer, spy and sniper with a maxium of 3 on both sides. We also hope by this people play more the objective then going for kills.

New members
In the mean time we also have some new members. And even one member is from outside of Europe and thats Abdul from Saudi Arabia. Thomas and Abdul will be mainly active in MW2 and YoOoster, Erus and Sgt.Nova will be mainly active in TF2.

Bright LAN #5 coming @ 25-27 November.
Like promised in the news post before I would make a new LAN. It will be again in Zwolle, the Netherlands same location as always. To keep up2date with all new things I would recommend to check the event on Facebook. You can find it by checking our group. Most important is that the main games will be CoD:MW2 and TF2 but it would be also nice to play CoD:MW3 that will be released in begin of November. It will be probably one of the new games in Bright where we will start another squad with.

Hope you are all happy with the changes.. and yeah me after 11 years of CS1.6 and Bright as clan more then 9 years its time to give CS1.6 a rest.. maybe forever..
And remember if you ain't BRIGHT.. you aint right!!

Well our 4th LAN was again a succes with 16 people in total again just like last time. As promised by LAN #3 I would create another LAN in april or may. After many many requests I decided to do it already in beginning of April. It was really cool cause again people came from very very far again. Country's represented where Netherlands, Germany, Scotland and France. We gamed allot and even went for karting. Some of us went later on for a party in the city. I wont tell what happend there cause that would be not nice for Bucky and Mo! :D

The other very important reason we made this LAN is because of making Bright active again. We were still very active in CS wars and MW2 but not using our publics. After very long talks all bright members on the LAN could say what they thought that was needed. A short overview what we did the last couple of days:
- Bright FORUM, is going down in one week, we dont use it enough
- A new way to contact us will be FACEBOOK
- Reinstall the publics
- HLstatsX working again with new stats
- New AMXBANS version
- Everybody is welcome again, banlist deleted
- Admin poweres restricted (only ban/kick/slay/slap/teamchange/votes) to make sure the admin abuse will be limited


Some people might ask why use facebook as a communication device. The reason for this is cause it will be more personaly when you have an better idea against who you are speaking and hopefully conversations will be more respectfull. If you don't have FB? Well then simply create one ;)

About Bright squads and members we also made a big chance. On the crew page you can see who are active/inactive and what their rank is in Bright. Philipp "Interisti will be the Squad war leader for the CS section. We are currently not recruiting new warplayers but you can always keep an eye open on the CREW page.

I hope everyone enjoyed the LAN and will play allot again on our amazing servers! The next LAN? Maybe in August 2011..

The future is BRIGHT! (06-09-2010)

As most people already know for a long time I'm going 2 New Zealand for my internship and hopefully some holidays. But what do we do with Bright then? Well I think I still have a big roll in Bright since I'm the leader but you can easily see that Bright will survive when I'm gone for 5 months. We have allot of regular players in our clan and they are more then capable to keep Bright alive. To ensure that Bright will stay alive (well we will never die :P) but especially active as a gaming friend clan I give some more people more rights. For example recruiting new people/server admin/server reboot acces and many more.

Counter-Strike 1.6
Our CS1.6 section will be lead by Destruction and Interisti. They will recruit the new members and make sure Bright will stay active and play allot of PCW's and hopefully also officials on ESL.

CoD: Modern Warfare 2
The CoD:MW2 will be lead by Kalash, Bucky & Hailhail. They will do the same as Destruction and Interisti recruiting new members and kicking ass on the publics. But this group has also the objective to make a new squad when CoD: Black Ops will be released. We will get our own public for CoD:BO if the dedicated servers will be plugged in and have allot of possibilities to change like you can do with CS1.6. So wanna join us? Contact us on the forums!

Head admins
Then offcourse Appelkux & Kalash our head admins will keep me up2date with all things in Bright clan if its still active enough and off course they have full rights for the servers incl. reboot and more. But I will add one more guy to the Head admin group and thats Biowolf. Hes active in CS1.6&MW2 and will try 2 guide the rest if theres a need for it. Also Biowolf will keep me up2date with how Bright is doing.

I'm going 2 have my internship in Auckland, New Zealand. Offcourse I will keep a weblog up2date @ j2thew.waarbenjij.nu/ and for my non-dutch friends I will also add something in english on it so you guys still know if I'm alive ;) but I will also be online on steamfriends/MSN/skype/facebook and will check the bright forums :)

Bright LAN #3: 8th anniversary (22-08-2010)

Well our 3th LAN was again a succes with 16 people in total again. We made this LAN cause soon I will leave for 5 months for New Zealand for my internship and not to forget we had our 8th anniversary.. and a anniversary w/o cake is nothing so check the cake :D



We played many different games like TrackMania, CoD:MW2, UnrealTournament but offcourse especially CS1.6 :D

I hope everyone enjoyed it and there will come again a new Bright LAN in april/may 2011 when I'm back from New Zealand. About Bright and my trip 2 New Zealand, there will follow shortly new info about who will lead Bright when I'm gone so stay tuned!

Bright LAN #3 & major updates! (30-06-2010)

Yeaaah you read it good.. next Bright LAN is comming!!

And its on a special date 20 till 22 august. Why is this so special? Cause 22 august Bright will be here for more then 8 years! So we gonna eat some cake for sure! More info about this LAN? Ask J2theW but be sure you are a close friend of Bright if you wanna have a invite.

Sad & short news.. our BF:BC2 squad isnt active anymore.. mainly cause most of the Bright people don't like the game that much.

Yeah yeah everyone is sober again.. well I hope :D

Well I think we can all agree the LAN was really nice. There were people from the Netherlands, Germany, Scotland, France, Norway & Belgium so a nice international meeting. We played all kinds of games but mainly CS1.6/TrackMania/FlatOut2 and WC3 :D

We went out in the city of Zwolle and we had a great time and were (almost) all f*cking drunk haha and when we went back some of the geeks went directly gaming again :D

I wanna personal thank all people that came from far and from close and make such a wunderfull time together as geeks!

Bright goes multigaming! (17-03-2010)

Yeaah just like the old times we are going again for multiple games in this clan!
Offcourse we are open for recruitment just ask on the forums. We are searching for public and war members for the following games: CoD MW2 and BF:BC2. We are also thinking about getting a public server for BF:BC2 for this we need to know who mayb wants to join as a admin for BF:BC2. The same rules as for CS1.6 admin. All public servers evry game full admin for 5 euro ech month. So CS1.6 admins will get automaticly admin on BF:BC2 server if they have the game.

For our CS1.6 section, don't be worried CS1.6 servers stay online.. well 3 then and not 4.. the scoutknivez will go away. But we will stay active in CS1.6 cause its still a nice game to play.

Bright LAN #2 26-28 march (03-03-2010)

Yeaaah bright lan #2 on his way!

We will play offcourse CS1.6/CoD and more funny games like trackmania :D
We are not 100% geek so we will also go out and see who's the best in drinking ;)
